The purpose of the geotechnical study was to explore the project site's subsurface soil and groundwater conditions, and to develop geotechnical recommendations for the stormwater detention ponds. The scope of services included the following: 1. Field exploration program consisting of 29 soil test borings advanced to depths of 20 to 45 feet below ground surface to evaluate the subsurface soil and groundwater conditions. 2. Laboratory tests on recovered soil samples to evaluate soil index and strength properties. 3. Geotechnical report summarizing the findings and providing geotechnical design and construction recommendations. River Ranch One Investments Ltd. contracted Tolunay-Wong Engineers (TWE) to perform a geotechnical study for the design and construction of stormwater detention ponds within the planned River Ranch residential development. The overall project tract covers in excess of 1,000 acres and is located approximately 2 miles east of Grand Parkway (SH 99), and directly east of North Highway 146 in Liberty County, Texas. The tract is traversed by East Prong Old River running north-south and is bound by a drainage ditch (Big Ditch) to the south. This study was performed in accordance with TWE Proposal No. P23-E214 dated May 16, 2023, and was authorized by Paul Connor as Manager of RR I GP, LLC, the GP of River Ranch One Investments, Ltd on May 19, 2023. This phase of the project addresses several stormwater detention ponds with planned maximum depths varying from 15 to 24 feet. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 days from the date bids are opened. For construction contracts $50,000 and over but less than $250,000, the bidder shall submit a certified or cashier's check on a responsible bank in the State equal to two percent (2%) of the maximum total bid amount. For construction contracts over $250,000, the bidder shall submit either a 2% certified or cashier's check or five percent (5%) bid bond of the maximum total bid amount. Make the cashier's check or bid bonds payable to the Owner. Scope of Work of the Contract includes Construction of Pipes and Outfalls in River Ranch Phase 3. Bidder must be capable of executing a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond for 100 percent (100%) of the contract sum in accord with the conditions of the contract. The work shall be substantially completed within 45 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed.
