Renovation of an educational facility in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Klamath Falls City Schools is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide professional engineering services for the Seismic Rehabilitation of Conger Elementary School. Perform a seismic evaluation of the building, per American Society of Civil Engineers (“ASCE”) Standard 41-17 “Seismic Evaluation of Existing Buildings”. Develop rehabilitation and mitigation strategies per ASCE Standard 41-17 and the 2022 Oregon Structural Specialty Code (“OSSC”). It is the wish of the District to rehabilitate the building to meet the rehabilitation objective of “Immediate Occupancy”. Klamath Falls City School District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received. As of August 11, 2023, design would begin immediately upon award and approval of the resulting design contract. Construction is anticipated to start in June 2025 with the Project completion expected by October 2025.
