Stage II to the PREQUALIFIED / SHORT-LISTED firms only has been issued for the Highway 1 - 264th Street Interchange Project (the "Project"). The next stage has been issued and the closing dates are: - Technical Submission = April 9 at 11:00am - Financial Submission = June 18 at 11:00am THE TEAMS INVITED to submit proposals to enter into a design-build agreement with the Province are, in alphabetical order: 1 - Aecon-Norland General Partnership: A general partnership between Aecon Constructors, a division of Aecon Construction Group Inc. and Norland Projects Limited; 2 - KEA Fraser Valley Connectors: A joint venture between Kiewit Infrastructure BC ULC and Emil Anderson Construction (EAC) Inc.; and 3 - Metro Vancouver (Infrastructure) Partnership: A joint venture between Jacob Bros. Construction Inc., BD Hall Constructors Corp., and EBC Inc. The Project includes the following elements: a) Upgrading the existing 264th Street interchange to accommodate increased traffic volumes and highway widening. The structures and ramps will be designed to current standards to improve safety and reliability. b) Highway 1 widening to include: i. an HOV / EV lane in each direction, from approximately 1.6 km west of 264th Street to 3.7 km east; and ii. bus-on-shoulder lane in each direction, for approximately 3.7 km east of 264th Street. c) Active transportation infrastructure improvements, including: i. a multi-use path ("MUP") along the north side of Highway 1 from the 264th Street interchange to approximately 3.7 km east; and ii. improved active transportation connections at the 264th Street interchange. d) A new transit exchange at the 264th Street interchange, including a bus loop and vehicle parking with approximately 180-200 stalls. e) A new truck parking lot at the 264th Street interchange with approximately 25 stalls. *The widening of Highway 1 between 264th Street and Mt. Lehman Road has an approved budget of $2.3 billion.
