Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Aurora, Colorado. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,640-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
**As of October 16, 2023, project was awarded to BUILDINGS BY DESIGN LLC , awarded amount is $3,035,035.36** Principal items of work consist of the demolition of the existing buildings (3), landscape elements, and walkways that serve the Cherry Creek State Park Swim Beach and the construction of a new swim beach building which will contain multi-user rest rooms, a covered open air space, an indoor education room, building support, and office space. The new building will be located in the same area of the beach as the existing buildings. Outdoor improvements include new walkways in the vicinity of the building that will tie into existing walkways, modifications to the nearby multi-use trail and a truck pad for food truck vendors. Pre-fabricated vault toilets will be located near the reconfigured multi-use trail.
