This is an pre-qualification for Fort Francis Jail Expansion for BGIS's client Solicitor General of Canada. Please submit the required documents included by the closing date via MERX. If this changes an addendum will be issued to address and potential submission changes. The Fort Frances historic Jail located at 310 Nelson Street in Fort Frances Ontario is currently housed in a historic building of approximately 6,900 square feet which was constructed circa 1908. The growing need for additional space to house Admission and Discharge (A & D) and Parole and Probation (P & P) programs has resulted in the initiation of a jail expansion project. Following the prequalifying and tender stages of the project, a contract will be awarded to a qualified general contractor for the expansion of the jail into the adjacent former Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment space located within the Fort Frances Civic Centre at 320 Portage Avenue. The total estimated construction value of the Fort Frances Jail Expansion is $5,200,000.00 (including all furniture and fixtures which may or may not form part of the contract). All Work is subject to project and budget approvals by the necessary approving authorities.
