The new unit will require new structural steel, bracing and electrical connections. The HVAC and lighting scope associated with the project is to allow the construction of new bracing steel and X-Ray machine installation. HVAC and lighting will be temporarily removed and reinstalled in kind. PLEASE NOTE: The selected prime contractor must self-perform at least fifty (50%) percent of the project work. Commencement of the Work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of Moraine Valley Community College. TIME OF COMPLETION: Substantial completion of the project is November 17, 2023. WAGE RULES: The contract calls for the construction of a "public work" within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820ILCS/130/01 et seq. ("the act) for Cook County Illinois. The act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county (Cook County) where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requires of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. Failure to comply with said Act will result in penalties and fines.
