Site work for a water / sewer project in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of September 18, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The project consists of the installation of approximately 11,730 linear feet of 20" internal diameter water main and fittings, valves, fire hydrants, combination air valve vaults, and other improvements associated with the proposed water main along South Patrol Road in the River Ridge Commerce Center. Portions of the proposed water main will be bored and jacked under an existing creek and under existing roads within the project limits. Substantially complete shall mean that all water main, valves, hydrants, etc. have been installed, disturbed areas have been restored, all required testing on the water main has been completed and the water main is ready to be placed into service. All work shall be 100% complete including site cleanup, punch-list items, etc. within 400 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. The Owner further reserves the right to waive informalities, and to award the contract to any Bidder to the advantage of the Owner, or to reject all BIDS. This project is being partially funded by an Economic Development Administration grant (EDA Grant No. 06-01- 06401) and as a result the following EDA requirements shall be fulfilled by the contractor: EDA Certification Regarding Lobbying, EDA Requirements for Affirmative Action, EDA Contracting Provisions for Construction Projects, and EDA Site Sign. During construction of the Project, if any prehistoric or historic archaeological artifacts or human remains are uncovered during construction, demolition, or earthmoving activities, or if the scope of work changes in any way, the Recipient shall immediately stop work and immediately notify EDA along with the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and the Indiana State Historic Preservation Offices. As noted by IN SHPO, site 12CI1998 (Lentz Cemetery) is within the vicinity of the project and disturbance of the site must be avoided.
