Project was awarded to Archer Western in the amount of $32,849,997.12. The deadline to ask questions is 8/28/2023 3:00 PM CDT The City of Alvarado, Texas (City), owns and operates the Alvarado Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The plant has been in service since 2008; however, due to current and planned rapid growth of the service area, the City intends to expand the plant from its current permitted capacity of 0.6 MGD annual average daily flow (AADF) and 2.1 MGD peak 2-hour flow (P2HF) to an AADF of 1.4 MGD and a P2HF of 5.6 MGD. This Package is for construction of the plant expansion.The major plant improvements that will be included in the Alvarado 0.8 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion include the following: New screenings and influent lift station New grit removal system and influent distribution structure New odor control system New package plant, inclusive of activated sludge basins, secondary clarification, and aerated sludge holding tanks (Provided by Pkg 1 contractor) New UV disinfection system New post aeration system/outfall Addition of second sludge pump Addition of two polymer feed units Addition of two sludge dewatering boxes Addition of a second emergency generator Associated electrical, controls, and SCADA system improvements Associated yard piping
