Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Port Richmond Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) is located at 1801 Richmond Terrace in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Staten Island along the southern shore of the Kill van Kull, which connects Newark Bay to New York Bay. Constructed in 1953, Port Richmond WRRF treats combined sewage from a 9,665-acre drainage area and is designed to treat 60 million gallons per day (MGD) with a peak wet weather treatment capacity of 120 MGD. The PR-132 Port Richmond WRRF Sludge Dock Improvement portion of this project will replace/rehabilitate the existing dock to allow the facility to continue transferring sludge to DEPs dewatering facilities. Additionally, all existing aboveground piping will need to be replaced with new sludge piping and manifolds. For the purposes of this RFQ, the Respondent shall assume 4 years for completion of Work. Substantial completion for the Project will be presented in the RFP stage (Step II). The estimated contract value for the Project is $90M - $110M.. All questions and requests for additional information should be submitted to designbuild@dep.nyc.gov Demolition of the existing sludge dock, causeway, walkways, and dolphins associated marine equipment, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment. o Construction of a new dock founded on deep pile foundations, concrete pile caps, and concrete deck. o Construction of new approach trestle founded on deep pile foundations, concrete pile caps, and a concrete deck. o Construction of new walkways (east and west of causeway) supported on deep pile foundations, deck framing, and grating. o Construction of twelve (12) new breasting dolphins founded on deep pile foundations, with rubber fenders. o Installation of new ductile iron pipe sludge line along the causeway and dock and installation of two sludge manifolds at the dock; o Installation of new potable water line leading out to the dock; o Installation of electrical equipment along the dock, causeway, and walkways including lighting, transformer, shore power receptacles, and heat tracing; and other miscellaneous ancillary systems; Repair/ replace the existing dock to facilitate the sludge transfer process from the storage units to the sludge vessel at the Rockaway WRRF. o Construction of a new dock bulkhead with concrete cap and a new fender system matching the top of existing dock outboard of the existing bulkhead; o Installation of new ductile iron pipe sludge line along the dock and installation of two sludge manifolds at the dock; o Installation of new potable water line leading out to the dock; o Installation of electrical equipment along the dock including lighting, transformer, shore power receptacles, and heat tracing; and other miscellaneous ancillary systems; o Reconstruction of pavement area behind the headwall and regrading existing grass area
