For both sites, the contractor shall remove the existing sign and construct the pedestal and frame for a new gateway sign. The existing foundation shall be preserved during demolition. Pedestals will be constructed from reinforced concrete and masonry blocks with natural stone facing. The bid award shall be based on an itemized lump-sum price. o Preconstruction meeting and project schedule. o Permitting for demolition. The City shall be responsible for Right of Way and Building permits. o Traffic control per specifications. o Demolition and disposal of existing structure. o Construction of two sign frames as specified in the project plans. o Installation and wiring of one electronic display as specified in the project plans. o Installation of one graphic panel sign provided by the City. o Final inspection and walk-through. This project is subject to compliance with Prevailing Wage Rate Laws and Federal Labor Standards. As required by these laws, the Contractor shall provide certified payroll documents, and the City will perform interviews on selected employees. Proposals are to be mailed or delivered to the City of Wood Village Public Works Department, 24200 NE Halsey St., Wood Village, OR 97060-1095. Proposals shall be identified on the exterior of the sealed envelope including bidder's name, address, and business license number. Proposers shall include with their proposal a Bid Bond to the amount of 5% of the Bid price. Proposers must show that they are licensed and bonded in Oregon.
