Project Summary: The project consists of furnish and delivery of diesel powered standby power generator and automatic transfer switch. Installation of delivered equipment will be by others. The equipment suppling contractor will provide factory trained authorized personnel for startup, commissioning and facility maintenance staff training. Bids mailed, hand delivered, or delivered by express mail, must be delivered to the Issuing Agency's in the Purchasing Office at the address shown above prior to the bid due deadline. SCOPE OF WORK: The Generator Equipment Supplier Contractor o Furnish and deliver generator per specification and quantity as listed in the pricing schedule per content of this IFB. o Delivery location: Halifax Correction Unit, 1200 Farm Road, South Boston VA 24592 o Equipment off-loading (craning) service will be furnished by the Agency. o Provide a representative on site at the time of delivery to supervise the off-loading and to verify that all equipment is safely off-loaded and document any damage or shortages. o Provide a factory authorized and trained technician(s) to verify the proper installation and provide a factory startup on each unit and commissioning for manufacturer warranty validation. Provide warranty validation for each unit commissioned. o Provide on-site maintenance and service training to facility maintenance personnel. o Provide a factory certified service firm for preventative maintenance and service work required specified period. Continued PM service will be determined by the Facility Administrator. o Equipment installation labor will be performed by the Virginia Department of Corrections Correction Construction Unit (CCU) internal workforce.
