Renovation of a detention facility in Caldwell, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Total Project Cost: $8,000,000.00 The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is responsible for the management of the Noble Correctional Institution in Noble County, OH. The work should be done with minimal disruption, as the facilities are occupied. General Improvements to the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire suppression, security, site work and IT infrastructure will be required to accommodate the renovated use. Improvements include the following, but not limited to: 1. Priority - Walkways at building entries need rebuilt to slope away from buildings and meet ADAAG. Currently sidewalks/pathways are leading water into some of the buildings, will need to evaluate on site. 2. Priority - Redo downspout drain lines below frost line with new gutters and downspouts from front of buildings. Drain lines are shallow and backing up waterlines during winter. Heavy rock around site limited depth of original drain lines. Cutting and reworking sidewalks around buildings will be required. 3. Priority - Build partial height wall for new SRT room in warehouse. This will be a 10’ high wall with door access. 4. Medium Priority - Add R&D, Quartermaster, and laundry to existing chiller (approx. 4,000 sq ft) 5. Medium Priority - Add additional row of razor ribbon and support framing around roof of Administration building. 6. Low Priority - Install conditioned air to each of the 5 dormitories that currently do not have A/C or chases, structure, ductwork to accommodate (2 story buildings with approx. 240 inmates on each floor). Will work with facilities to determine which building is priority for design and implementation.
