Site work for a civil project in Columbus, Ohio. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The East primary tanks are experiencing accelerated deterioration from post installed freeze and thaw. In tunnel H, groundwater intrusion can be seen on the concrete joints further inhitibiting corrosion on the conveyance piping and electrical equipment that operate the grinders. Meters are no longer supported by their manufacturer and the chain and flight systems are mismatched by three different manufacturers. Parts and storage and interoperability are also problematic. Structural repairs and PIS repairs are recommended for the Primary Clarification system. Primary pump upgrades are also recommended for the East Train, and skimmings transfer pump upgrades, influent flow meter replacement, chain and flight collector replacement, and scum collection improvements are recommended for the Center and West Trains.
