Site work for a water / sewer project in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project will help fund the City's portion of trunk sewer, lift station, and water main below the bluff along Flying Cloud Drive along the future development area of Hwy 61. The City's portion is for the oversizing required. This project will be development driven and will likely be constructed in concert with private project development but could be a city-led standalone project if deemed appropriate. This project has been budgeted through the utility rate study and is to be repaid for from future connection charges. This project does not include future Lift Station 33 planned for the Erhart property at Powers and 212 (refer to CIP Project SS-020). Watermain and sanitary sewer gravity pipe was installed in the newest portion of Hwy 101 in 2021/2022, along with the lift station wetwell structure. Project is in City of Chanhassen capital budget FY 2025-2029 CIP. As of July 3, 2025, construction is funded for FY2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
