Saving Project...

Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia. Design plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; for the construction of a 10,000-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; and 11,000-square-foot clubhouse / community center.

Consolidation of existing community facilities and fire station into one new facility. Plans call for construction of a recreation/fitness, library and community hall into one community centre facility co-located with a new fire station. The existing fire station will remain in operation throughout construction of the new building and included in the scope of the project, the existing fire station will be demolished upon relocation of the services to the new building. TIMELINE: Design is underway. Construction is planned for 2025/2026. Further update may be available fall 2024. *Construction budget is $21 million.
