The scope of work includes removal of the pump from the well for inspection, servicing of pump and motor, televised inspection of well, and servicing and/or replacement of column pipe as needed for a complete project. A brief overview of the scope of work and general requirements will be provided. Following the overview, attendees will be able to familiarize themselves with existing conditions and ask questions. Attendance is highly advisable, but not required. Pre-bid meeting will take place at location of the well near the main entrance. Questions will be received in writing only through August 24, 2023. Requirements for Performance and Bid Bonds A bid bond is not required for this project. If a bid is accepted, a Labor & Material Payment Bond, payable to the Naperville Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction. A Performance Bond, payable to the Naperville Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction on all projects $50,000 or more, and may be required for projects$50,000 or less at the discretion of the Naperville Park District. Such bonds shall include the provision guaranteeing the faithful performance of the Prevailing Wage Act. The surety on the bond shall be a company that is licensed by the Department of Insurance authorizing it to execute surety bonds and the company shall have a financial strength rating of at least A- as rated by A.M. Best Company, Inc., Moody's Investors Service, Standard & Poor's Corporation, or a similar rating agency. The Park District reserves the right to reject any non-responsive or non-responsible Bids or to reject all bids and waive any informality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the Park District.
