The work includes sidewalk improvements within City Council District 8 in the City of North Charleston Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be executed and that a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond will be furnished. Checks, regardless of form, will not be accepted. Before a bid is considered for award, the bidder may be required to submit a statement of qualifications in detail as for his previous experience in performing similar or comparable work, and of his business and technical organization and financial resources and availability for performing the contemplated work.
