To prepare engineering plans and specifications for a parallel trunk sewer in the Silver Creek basin is needed to increase the sanitary sewer capacity in the Eastern Iowa Industrial Center and will facilitate future residential development in the area. As identified in a 2017 report, the current Silver Creek sewer is undersized and has excess inflow and infiltration. This project is included in the city's fiscal year 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program.
