All Chemicals shall be certified as suitable for contact with and/or the treatment of drinking water by an accredited certification organization in accordance with ANSI/NSF Standard 60, Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals - Health Effects. A letter of certification must be furnished with bid submission. All chemicals will be closely monitored for quality and purity. All liquids that are supplied that are aqueous and are sold by percent concentration will be closely monitored. Per EPA regulation, each successful bidder must provide 24-hour emergency contact information in the event an emergency shipment is required or to address any issues associated with their product. Failure to provide this information will result in bid rejection and/or contract termination. If any chemical delivered does not meet specification or is contaminated, it is the responsibility of the supplier to: 1. Remove the product and replace with (clean) product meeting the specs. 2. Clean all equipment and tanks affected. 3. Reimburse the city for any downtime costs associated with inferior product.
