Renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in New Boston, New Hampshire. Working plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for the addition of a two-story above grade fire / police facility.
As of October 11, 2023, the project bids came in over budget and there are no plans to rebid at this time. The bid due date has been extended from September 11, 2023 to September 12, 2023 at 2:00. The work consists of construction of a 2-Story 25 x 30 building addition, and a 5 x 30 bump-out to the first floor of the rear of the existing building. The addition includes two holding cells, booking room, storage room, and a utility room on the first floor and a locker room, meeting room, bathroom, and a storage room on the second floor. The bump out to the first floor will add 5 to the two existing garage bays. The building renovations include various interior modifications and replacement of the existing siding and windows throughout the existing structure. The work also includes the removal and replacement of the existing, concrete septic tank. The fire suppression system will be by others; however, the bidders are to include the exterior fire water storage tank, fittings, piping and electrical connections and water level floats. In addition, the demolition and removal of the existing car-port (excluding the pavement, footings, and below-ground supports) will be by others The acting representative of the OWNER for the receipt of bids is Mr. James Brace, Police Chief, New Boston Police Department.
