All correspondence should include the RFP number and title. The Municipality of Anchorage reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informalities in procedures. Any questions regarding this Request for Proposal are to be submitted in writing to: Municipality of Anchorage Purchasing Department wwpur@muni.org For ease of identification please identify the RFP number in the subject line of any correspondence. Purchasing Office hours of operation are: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time Monday through Friday, excluding Municipal holidays. All questions must be received prior to the deadline indicated on the RFP cover letter. SCOPE OF WORK 3.1 Service: 3.1.1 Deliverables: a. 12 Self-Check Out Units a. Self-Checkout Units must be capable of check-out via RFID and CODABAR Barcode, Renewals, and Account Viewing. b. Units must be compatible with APL Integrated Library Software, Symphony provided by Sirsi-Dynix. c. d. Units must be compatible with other brands of RFID tags and be able to desensitize all tags to pass through security gates. e. The units must be able to provide print and emailed receipts, additional option for SMS receipts is preferred. b. Security Gates a. Sufficient number to cover entrances for all five APL locations and various entrance sizes ranging from 8' to 15.' More specifics can be provided for accurate estimates. b. Security gates must be able to detect RFID tags which have not been desensitized by Self-Checkout or Staff Check out stations. c. Security gates must be able to track footfall for statistics. c. Deinstallation Support a. Vendor is responsible for removing the existing automation solutions. The library does not have the ability to remove the existing SelfCheckouts and Gates without potentially damaging the cabling beneath. d. Installation and Support a. Must provide on-site installation at all five locations: Z.J. Loussac, Muldoon, Mountain View, Chugiak-Eagle River, and Scott and Wesley Garrish (Girdwood) branches. b. Must provide Helpline or Helpdesk service - after hours charges will not be incurred until it reaches after hours in Alaska, regardless of the Vendors standard business hours. e. Training a. Must provide at least two options for virtual or in-person training with the units for staff with a recording done at the time or prerecorded for library to have for future internal training.
