Site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Chambly, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Addition and renovation of William Latter elementary school. The scope of the project includes the construction of an addition and renovation of existing areas to add eight classrooms and transform the facility in a 24-classroom school. The addition will house classrooms, multipurpose space, arts and culture space, administration offices, support and service spaces and will be linked to the main structure. The project also includes the construction of an outdoor parking lot and redevelopment of the site. TIMELINE: Due to funding constraints and the need to make 200-million-dollar budget compression to the school funding system, the Quebec government has put this project on hold for an indefinite period. Timelines for a tender and construction are not finalized. The project will be followed if/when it proceeds to a tendering stage. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
