Renovation of an educational facility in Urbandale, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 12,500-square-foot educational facility.

Project consists of the construction of interior tenant improvements for the relocation of the Metro West Learning Academy. Renovation area of approximately 12,500 square feet. The work includes all General, Mechanical, and Electrical Work. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish within ten (10) days of the award proof of insurance as required by the Bid Documents and a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. The Bidder's security shall be in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on an FDIC insured bank in Iowa or on an FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a Bid Bond on the form provided in the Contract Documents with corporate Surety satisfactory to the Board of Directors of Urbandale Community School District. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. Bid security shall be made payable to Urbandale Community School District. Work on the Project shall commence as soon as possible after award of the Contract and is scheduled for a substantial completion date on or before December 22, 2023, with Final Acceptance to be no later than ninety (90) days after substantial completion. The Board of Directors may make the contract award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting specifications. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities as allowed by law, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of Urbandale Community School District.
