Renovation of a fire / police facility in Amherst, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
This design/build project consists of removal, designing, furnishing, installing, and putting into turnkey good operating condition ductless cold climate cooling only air to air system serving the Telecommunication Rooms. ASHP indoor units to be located in the Telecommunication Rooms (Rooms 309 and 310) with the outdoor units mounted outside, as the drawing indicates. The outdoor units are to be mounted securely to a sturdy frame able to withstand the weight and vibrations; attached to the concrete pad located at the exterior of the building, at least 18 above the ground. Contractor is responsible for coring through building to accommodate electrical services and refrigerant line set. Refrigerant line set hide is required for the exterior of the building and all finished spaces indoors. The Town of Amherst is seeking written quotes to remove an existing air source heat pump system and replace with a new high-efficiency system, supplying conditioned air the Police Department's Telecommunication Rooms.
