The Town of Saugerties invites the submission of Individual Sealed Bid Proposals for performing the work entitled, "Saugerties Animal Shelter - Project No. Dl9-1" located at 1765 NYS Route 212 in the Town of Saugerties, Ulster County, New York. Neither the owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources. Checks for documents shall be made payable to Praetorius and Conrad, P.C. Pursuant to New York State Executive Law Article 15-A and the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, NYSDEC is required to promote opportunities for the maximum feasible participation of New York State- certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises ("MWBEs") and the employment of minority group members and women in the performance of NYSDEC contracts. All bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. OGS hereby establishes an overall goal of30% for MWBE participation, 15% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises participation and 15% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBEs and WBEs). The total contract goal can be obtained by utilizing any combination of MBE and/or WBE participation for subcontracting and supplies under this Contract. Each Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to the Town of Saugerties or a Bid Bond, conditioned as set forth in Instructions to Bidders, for a sum equal to 5% of the Bid. A 100% Payment and I00% Performance Bond will be required of the successful bidder. The Town of Saugerties reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities for any Bid, and to accept any Bid which is in the best interest of the Town of Saugerties. Any bid received after the time and date stated above shall be returned to the bidder, unopened.
