Site work and paving for a civil project in Redwater, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Project consists of 5 manholes, remove and replace 1,475 LF of 8" Sanitary Sewer Line, 1,485 LF of new 6" Waterline, 2230 sy of rework of road base, 270 tons of HMAC, and other miscellaneous items of construction. The City of Redwater reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding Bids may be held by the City of Redwater for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Redwater or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The work which the Contractor is required to perform under this Contract shall be commenced at the time stipulated by the Owner in the Notice to Proceed to the Contractor and shall be fully completed within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days thereafter.
