The Work under this contract include the installation of a coffer dam and dewatering of the residential properties along Marta Crescent. Provisional work will include residential properties along Marta Crescent and Kierland Road, within the City of Barrie. Access will be gained off Summerset Drive and Kierland Road, which should be repaired to pre-disturbed conditions or better upon completion of the Work. The Work consists of installation of a watertight sand bag coffer dam, temporary dewatering, removal of the coffer dam and flow management equipment, and restoration of the disturbed areas, including restoration of disturbed fencing, slopes, access and staging areas. The site is entirely within a wetland with varying levels of standing water. It is required that the coffer dam maintains a minimum freeboard height of 0.2 m above the standing water level. The depth/height of the dam will vary with depth and compaction to maintain the proposed 0.2 m freeboard. Sand bags will need to be manually installed or placed with the use of small, rubber tracked equipment, as to be determined at the discretion of the Contractor. Phase 1 of this project will constitute the base scope for this project, and is to include the defined backyard areas from 19 Marta Crescent to 37 Marta Crescent, inclusive. The provisional Phase 2 of this project is to include the defined backyard areas from 39 Marta Crescent to 57 Kierland Road, inclusive.
