Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in State College, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The BOS approved the Suburban Park Master Plan Update in May 2019. Staff recommends the Township initiate park improvements by budgeting for Phase A1 to allow for the drainage improvements, which will create a free-flowing drainage channel through the park. Also, this phase will include stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) associated with the channel and the bridge/boardwalk crossings. The Township was awarded a DCNR C2P2 $250,000 grant award. The Township’s obligation will be 50 percent of the budgeted amount if awarded the grant This project is included in the towship’s fy 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program. As of October 23, 2023, further details regarding design and firm construction timelines. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
