Disclaimer: If you plan on bidding on this project, you MUST contact Van Cleef Engineering at (908) 359-8291 The major components of the contract are: Base Bid: 142 linear feet of sawcutting; 210 square feet of pavement removal; 56 square yards of 4" thick dense graded aggregate; 1500 square yards of 2" asphalt milling; 56 square yards of 2" 9.5M64 HMA driveway asphalt; 180 tons of 9.5M64 HMA surface course; 55 tons of asphalt leveling course (if and where directed); 1500 linear feet of traffic striping; 36 square feet of traffic symbols; 60 linear feet of removal of existing guiderails; 155 linear feet of installation of new guiderails with end treatments; 7 type E inlets; 210 square yards of top soiling and seeding; 424 linear feet of 24" HDPE pipe; 93 linear feet of 12" HDPE pipe; 2 flared end sections; installation of scour holes and aprons; and installation of new traffic signage. Bidders shall be aware that this contract is funded utilizing monies from Grants received by the Township from the New Jersey Department of Transportation Local Aid Program. Prospective bidders must obtain bid documents in this manner so that Van Cleef Engineering Associates may keep an accurate listing of bid holders should the bid opening be delayed or the bid documents need amendment. Bids will be rejected if not submitted within the time, date and place designated, and if not accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the total bid but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 payable to Bethlehem Township, New Jersey, as a guarantee to furnish equipment and/or services for the bid price. The following documents shall accompany the bid: 1. Certified Copy of Bidders Certificate of Public Convenience & Necessity and an Approval Letter issued in conformance with N.J.S.A. 13:1E-126 2. Questionnaire setting forth experience and qualifications 3. Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond in the sum of 10% of the total bid 4. Non-Collusion Affidavit 5. Stockholders Statement of Ownership 6. Certificate of Surety 7. Bid Proposal 8. Business Registration Certificate in conformance with P.L. 2004, Chapter 57 9. Iran and Belarus Disclosure Bidders must use the prepared bid form which is contained in the Contract Documents. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27). The New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (P.L. 1963, Chapter 150) is hereby made a part of every contract entered into by Bethlehem Township, and by any non-Township public participant, except those contracts which are not within the contemplation of the Act; and the Bidders signature on this proposal is his guarantee that neither he nor any sub-contractors he might employ to perform the work covered by this proposal are listed or are on record in the Office of the Commissioner of the N.J. State Department of Labor and Industry as one who has failed to pay prevailing wages in accordance with the provisions of the Act. The vendor must comply with all local, county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations applicable to this contract and to the work to be done hereunder.
