The work to be performed under these provisions shall include the furnishing of all vehicles, labor, tools, equipment, and material necessary to conduct geotechnical engineering investigations and for a new water storage tank and foundation structure. The geotechnical investigation must provide recommendations for the design, foundation construction and site limitations for the proposed storage tank. Recommendations will include: foundation types and depths, required grading, anchoring, allowable bearing pressures, and potential settlement and material and density requirements for structural fill. These recommendations must meet all requirements for the Seismic Zone of the project location. The proposed storage tank shall be a glass-fused-to-steel tank with an aluminum, geodesic dometype roof. The tank shall have a minimum capacity 150,000 gallons and shall have a shell height of 24 feet and a diameter of approximately 31 feet.
