Site work for a mixed-use development in Plano, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
MPE, Structural, Civil, Roofing and minor Architectural work related to the addition of a secondary exterior air-cooled chiller, associated exterior piping, power supply revisions, structural (foundation/pipe supports/screen wall) and civil work related to the expanded chiller yard and screen walls. The replacement of the existing automatic wet alarm valve assemblies at the fire riser header. The removal and replacement of select Roof Top Units (and one split DX A/C unit) at the ECCC-2 facility to include roof curbs, roof deck, roof insulation, roofing patching/replacement, ductwork, refrigerant piping, electrical power supply revisions and related appurtenances. Replacement of all existing HVAC controls systems at both Mendenhall ES and ECCC-2 (Niagara Front End with Jace Panel exists at the ECCC-2 building to be reused).Proposals received by hand delivery or mail after the stated receipt date and time will be rejected. Estimated Budget Both Locations - $1,205,000 and $120,500 Owner's Contingency *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Project Site Location -Mendenhall Elementary School - 1330 19th St, Plano, TX 75074 Employee Child Care Center II - 1313 18th St, Plano, TX 75074 Date for Construction Agreement:Presented to the Board on or about October 3, 2023. Per Section 2269.055, (Texas Government code) "In determining to whom to award a contract a district may consider: Purchase price; The offeror's experience and reputation; The quality of the offeror's goods or services; The impact on the ability of the governmental entity to comply with rules relating to historically underutilized businesses; The offeror's safety record; The offeror's proposed personnel; Whether the offeror's financial capability is appropriate to the size and scope of the project; and Any other relevant factor specifically listed in the request for bids, proposals, or qualifications Evaluative criteria will have the following weights assigned to rank Proposals: Cost-30 points, Qualifications-20 points, Reputation-20 points, Experience-20 points, and District Needs-10 points. All other criteria will be assigned the value of zero. Using these criteria and weights District Committees will evaluate and rank Proposals to determine the Proposer that presents the best value to the District. Per Section 44.043 of the Texas Education Code, In engaging in an activity to which this section applies, a governmental entity: 1. May not consider whether a person is a member of or has another relationship with any organization; and 2. Shall ensure that its Proposal specifications and any subsequent contact or other agreement do not deny or diminish the right of a person to work because of the person's membership or other relationship status with respect to any organization. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities as may be deemed in Owner's interest. The Board of Trustees, for the purpose of complying with Section 2258, Subchapter B of the Texas Government Code for all public contracts, has adopted the prevailing wage rates as determined by the United States Department of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon It is the responsibility of the contractor to pay the appropriate rate or higher on the construction project or be subject to penalty as set forth in section 2258.023 of the Texas General Government Code
