As of March 11, 2025, a construction manager has been selected. The City has completed all regulatory permitting and site preparation is underway. A timeline for bidding and construction has yet to be announced. The City of Venice (City) is requesting qualifications from Construction Management firms to provide pre-construction and construction phase services for the development of the City of Venice Fire Station 2 project located at the vacant 5-acre parcel, just west of 1575 East Venice Avenue FL 34292. Project will involve the construction of a new Fire Station facility, hardened storage building, and all associated improvements. Project will also involve bid assistance and construction of the Old Betsy Display Building, to be located at 326 Nokomis Avenue S. Project Estimated Budget $15,000,000.00 All questions, comments, or concerns about this RFQ must be submitted in writing to Mr. Peter Boers, Procurement- Finance Department, for the City of Venice, Room 204, 401 West Venice Avenue, Venice, FL 34285. Mr. Boers is the only designated representative of the City authorized to respond to comments, questions, and concerns
