This project will consist of the replacement of concrete sidewalk, drives, and curb ramps (demolition, construction and replacement of all soft/hard surfaces) along various streets within the City of Greenville, Ohio. Existing areas of deteriorated sidewalk will be replaced to as detailed in the exhibits to provide a safe traveling environment for pedestrians. Trees will also be removed along the project limits that have been determined to be a contributor to the sidewalk damage. The engineers estimate for this project is $513,212.00. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: City of Greenville, Planning & Zoning Department, 100 Public Square, Greenville, Ohio 45331, c/o Katie Benge. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office Bidding Documents also may be examined and the office of Planning and Zoning on Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm and Fridays from 8:00am and 1:00pm. Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above plus shipping account number, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The $50.00 fee can also be paid online if arrangements are made with Katie Benge PRIOR to the bid opening date/time. Bids will be accepted only from plan holders who have purchased plans and specifications for this project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
