Included in this Utility Extension Program 06 will be the removal, replacement, relocation, placement, and installation or existing and proposed water improvements, wastewater improvements, and other assorted utility structures and appurtenances including all necessary mobilization, saw-cutting, pavement removal, excavation, embedment, backfill, compaction, form work, pavement repair, sidewalk repair, erosion controls, traffic controls, utility cover adjustments, as well as coordination with City of Midland staff and organizations such as TxDOT, OSHA, franchise utilities, etc. as needed, One Call (Texas 811) notifications for pending work, notifications to adjacent property owners as directed by City of Midland Staff, and all other work to be performed as outlined in the Construction Drawings and Specifications, which are necessary to satisfactorily complete the work. The Owner reserves the right to abandon, without obligation to the Contractor, any part of the program, or the entire program, at any time before the Contractor begins any construction work authorized by the Owner. This applies to the individual projects assigned throughout the course or this program, and does not refer to the start of work for the program as a whole. Standard Specifications for Construction of the City of Midland will govern all construction, except as modified by these Special Provisions.
