This project involves a base bid for the construction of Improvements at the Mill & Radcliffe Street intersection including full depth road reconstruction, mill and overlay, ADA/PennDOT compliant curb ramps, sidewalk, curbing, pavement markings, and sign relocation/installation. All material, labor, and equipment necessary shall be in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408 and Borough Standards. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Bristol Borough along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment and Maintenance in such forms as mees the approval of Bristol Borough and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Bristol Borough. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as amended, and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry for work valued at over Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000). The successful Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 127, Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification, as amended. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids.
