Question Cuttoff Date & Time 8/24/2023 11:00:00 PM (ET) The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to remove and replace the existing heat pump located in our Ankeny facility. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Questions: All questions related to this project are to be submitted through site on or before the cut off date and time as indicated in the solicitation. Start date - 09/05/2023 Project end date- 10/13/2023 A site visit is not required IADOT - Replacement of Existing Heat Pump Scope of Work Contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, and materials to remove and replace the existing equipment which is a Climate Master HP-39 o All work to be done during normal business hours 6:30am-4:00pm Mon- Fri. After hours are available with prior approval. o Shut down all mechanical equipment prior to starting and use lock-out tagout procedure. o Isolate, drain, remove, and dispose o Provide and install new parts to match existing capacity with like equipment or equal. o Provide fabrication and install duct transitions o Reconnect electrical and controls per local code o Provide piping insulation repairs when work is complete. o Start and test operation when work is complete. o Any additional items or parts found defective need approval prior to completing.
