Plans for Forney Costco to move forward The Forney City Council will consider approval of a preliminary plat and the site plan for a Costco store coming to the fast-growing city east of Dallas at a meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 17. Council previously voted unanimously on July 16 to authorize the city manager to negotiate and execute a Chapter 380 incentives agreement with Costco Wholesale Corp. (Nasdaq: COST), subject to approval by the city attorney's office. The store is slated to be located at U.S. Highway 80 and Clements Drive.
