And one of the region's fastest-growing cities will discuss a site plan for a Costco store. These items and more are on upcoming agendas in local municipalities. Plans for Forney Costco to move forward The Forney City Council will consider approval of a preliminary plat and the site plan for a Costco store coming to the fast-growing city east of Dallas at a meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 17. Council previously voted unanimously on July 16 to authorize the city manager to negotiate and execute a Chapter 380 incentives agreement with Costco Wholesale Corp. (Nasdaq: COST), subject to approval by the city attorney's office. The store is slated to be located at U.S. Highway 80 and Clements Drive. Per city documents, Costco plans to build a 161,251 square-foot warehouse, including a tire center and a possible future fuel center on what is currently an undeveloped 94-acre property.
