Site work for a water / sewer project in Spearfish, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Hydraulic dredging, dewatering, erosion and sediment control, and permanent seeding. In accordance with South Dakota law, each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, or a cashier's check or money order in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Location: 6764 Colorado Blvd, Spearfish, SD 57783 The Purpose of the Project is to Remove Accumulated Red Clay Sediment From the Frawley Pond, Located in Spearfish, Sd, as Required by South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Sddanr). A Stormwater Compliance Inspection Was Conducted by Sddanr on April 20, 2023 in Regards to the Sky Ridge Subdivision Phase 1 Construction Project. It Was Determined That Deficiencies in Stormwater Controls Had Resulted in the Discharge of Fine Clay Soils Into the Downstream Frawley Pond. Sediment Cores Were Collected by Shive-hattery, Inc. On May 16, 2023 and It Was Determined That 1.5 - 3 Inches of Red Clay Sediment Was Present Throughout the Pond. In Order to Ensure Compliance With Offsite Accumulation Removal, Required by South Dakota's General Permit Authorizing Stormwater Discharges Associated With Construction Activities, This Project Was Designed to Remove the Accumulation of Red Sediment Over the Entire Pond Footprint. Material Shall Be Dewatered Onsite for Removal by the City of Spearfish.
