Renovation of a laboratory facility in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
The scope of work is to upgrade the MTW system serving McGill and Mandler Halls. The scope includes: replacement of heat exchanger with a duplex heat exchanger and MTW pumps; replacement of supply and return piping for each re-heat coil; installation of isolation valves to reheat coil connection; new branch pipe should include new threated couplings, di-electric fittings, bronze ball valves, strainer, control valve, balance valve, flushing bypass and flexible hose connectors; and installation of new prefabricated access panels in selected locations throughout the building. The estimated construction duration isapproximately 300 days. The University seeks General Building Contractor to serve as Prime Contractor with demonstrated experience in mechanical repair/renovation projects with the ability to manage multiple contractors in sensitive environment.
