As of 11/14/23, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded 12/15/23. The project consists of replacement of existing steam heating and domestic water systems associated with the East Campus building. Replacement of two (2) existing steam boilers with two (2) condensing modular boilers in the main boiler room, including pumps, piping and accessories for the hot water system. Two (2) smaller low pressure steam boilers shall be utilized for steam users currently functioning. Replacement of two (2) existing domestic water heaters in kind to be common vented into the boiler flue. Additional work associated with the project includes upgrade of existing ALC BMS Integration, includes controllers for new boiler plant operation and electrical infrastructure upgrades to support new equipment installation. Bidders will be fully responsible for the delivery of their bids. Late bid submissions will NOT be accepted. Each bid shall be accompanied by a security payable to Kean University. The bid security shall be in the amount of 10% of the bid amount, and shall be given by bid bond. If a contract is awarded, the successful bidder shall enter into contract and shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the bid amount submitted. Notice to Proceed (NTP): On or about 1/10/24. Substantial Completion (Owners beneficial use) Date: No more than 235 calendar days from official Notice to Proceed date. Final Completion Date will be no more than 30 days after the Substantial Completion Date.
