The Corporation of the City of Cornwall invites qualified Consulting Engineering firms to provide geotechnical and soil quality investigation services, for various types of municipal infrastructure capital projects within the City. The Proponent must be a consulting engineering firm authorized by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) to provide engineering services in the Province of Ontario. Proponents are to include a proof of certification for the firm by including a hardcopy of the certification or by indicating the certification number. Additionally, the Proponent must be registered with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) as a current Prequalified Engineering Service Provider under the Environmental category and Contaminants/Waste Management sub-category and under the Pavement Design - Low Complexity sub-category. The Proponent will be responsible for the completion of geotechnical and soil quality field investigations (including the completion of boreholes, test pits etc.), and the development of comprehensive Geotechnical Investigation Reports, Assessment of Past Use (APU) reports, Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAP), and Soil Characterization Reports (SCR), for future (2024-2025) capital construction projects in the City of Cornwall. The successful Proponent will be provided with a list of locations where the investigations/reporting will be required.
