All questions must be received on or prior to 12:00 P.M., September 1, 2023. The primary scope of work, furnishing and installation of park exercise equipment, placement of poured-in-place rubberized fall attenuating surface, construction of concrete perimeter curb and connecting sidewalks, and furnishing and installation of pre-engineered fabric shade structure over proposed exercise equipment area for both Centennial Park and Sandalwood Park in Coalinga, CA All base bid work shall be completed within FORTY-FIVE (45) working days from the date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Each bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security, cash, a cashiers or certified check payable to the City of Coalinga, or bid bond issued by a corporate surety, for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate of the bid, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into the proposed contract if the same is awarded to him. Such guarantee will be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. A Performance Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount will be required by the City from the bidder to whom the contract is awarded. Said bonds shall be issued by a surety company who is an admitted surety insurer authorized by the California Department of Insurance to transact business in this state, and acceptable to the City of Coalinga. Bidders are cautioned that representations made by surety companies will be verified with the California Department of Insurance. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, substitution of securities for any monies withheld by the City of Coalinga to ensure performance under the contract shall be permitted. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any and all bids for any reason whatsoever, to waive minor irregularities in such bids, and to determine the lowest responsible bidder.
