The purpose of this document is to solicit a Statement of Qualifications from qualified architectural firms interested in providing planning services consisting of a facility space need assessment for the City of Chillicothe. Missouri Police Department including 911 Dispatch Center. Upon establishing space needs, the selected firm will determine the best development scenario for supporting those needs, including the renovation and possible expansion of the current facility or building a facility of new construction on the existing site. The selected firm will then develop and contrast the costs associated which each potential development scenario of merit. An alternative needs assessment proposal would include a combined law enforcement center to house both the Chillicothe Police Department including a 911 Dispatch Center and the Livingston County Sheriffs Department. After approval by the City Council, and a decision by the City' Council to proceed with the Project, for the execution of this Project, the successful firm will be engaged, by a separate contract, to provide services in each of the following phases: Schematic Design. Design Development. Construction Documents. Bidding, and Construction Administration. The responsibilities of the firm include, but are not limited to: 1 ,)Develop plans and specifications to meet all applicable city building codes. 2.)Review plans and specifications in detail with the City staff and City Council. 3.)Analyze opportunities for space and energy efficiency in the design process. 4.) List of specifications, coordination and pricing of soft costs (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) as an alternate fee in the proposal. 5.)Prepare design and construction documents. Statements of Qualifications submitted by architectural firms may be given consideration for subsequent selection interviews. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
