Reference Number 00003691780 Park Woodland Hazard Tree Removal & Fuel Reduction Requirements and Scope of Service the Purpose of This Rfp Process is to Select a Contractor to Conduct Hazardous Tree Removal and Removal of Wood Fuel as Required on a Site-by-site Basis in Various City Woodlands. A) the Contractor is to Provide Experienced, Well-qualified Operators for This Equipment, the Cost of Which is Included in the Quoted Price. All Tree Work Must Meet International Society of Arboriculture Standards. B) the Contactor Shall Have a Minimum of Ten (10) Years Urban Forestry Experience and Working With Urban Forestry Practices. The Contractor Will Have an Thorough Understanding of Forest Ecosystems and Working in Woodlands. Accommodations of a Combination of Education and Experience Will Be Considered. C) That the Undersigned Shall Ensure That All Equipment is Property Registered, Inspected, and Fully Equipped Throughout the Term of the Quote. All Equipment With Type, Age, and Size Will Be Identified in the Tender. D) Some Areas May Require Off-site Removal of Wood Material From Trees Felled as Part of the Contract, as Well as Existing Wood Material on the Ground Left From Previous Removal Activities. E) the Varying Conditions of the Trees (Caught Up, Large Root Masses Etc..) Will in Some Cases Require Advanced Removal Techniques to Minimize Damage to the Remaining Woodlands. Priority Trees Are Located Within Striking Distance to Targets (I.e., Trails, Private Property, Roadways) F) Some of the Work is Expected to Be Conducted in Areas With Limited Vehicle Access and This Will Impact on the Type of Equipment and Vehicles Required. Potential Proponents Should Be Prepared to Have Alternative Ways to Access the Trees and Remove Excess Woody Material. Vehicle Access May Be Limited by the Size of the Trails.
