NCAPP safeguards agricultural resources from the risks associated with the entry, establishment or spread of exotic plant diseases introduced into the United States. The requirement is to make repairs to water line repairs in three greenhouses. Work includes replacing a hose bib assembly, repairing buried water lines, and replacing an isolation valve with valve box assembly. The solicitation is posted below. Greenhouse A: Remove and replace an existing hose bib assembly as follows. o Selectively demolish the existing concrete slab. o Excavate to expose the leak on the existing hose bib. o Remove and replace the existing hose bib assembly. o Backfill the new hose bib assembly. o Install new concrete slab reinforced with weld wire mesh. Greenhouse F: Repair an existing buried water line as follows. o Selectively demolish the existing concrete slab o Excavate to expose the leak on the existing water line. o Repair the existing water line. o Backfill the repaired water line with borrow material. o Install new concrete slab reinforced with weld wire mesh. Greenhouse C: Install a new buried in-line isolation valve with valve box assembly as follows. o Selectively demolish the existing concrete slab. o Excavate to expose the existing water line. o Install a new in-line isolation valve and valve box assembly. o Backfill the new in-line isolation valve and valve box assembly with borrow material. o Install new concrete slab reinforced with weld wire mesh. Greenhouse C: Repair an existing buried water line as follows. o Perform non-destructive leak detection to pinpoint the leak . o Selectively demolish the existing concrete slab. o Excavate to expose the leak on the existing water line. o Repair the existing water line. o Backfill the repaired water line with borrow material. o Install new concrete slab reinforced with weld wire mesh. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
