Renovation of a municipal facility in Grosse Ile, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Prospective bidders shall add their name to the Plan Holder List by calling the Engineer's office at 734-285-7510. It is important to have your name added in case an Addendum is issued on this project. All bids shall remain firm and may not be withdrawn for Ninety (90) days after the actual date of opening thereof. A properly completed Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check in a sum not less than five (5) percent of the proposed amount of the proposal submitted, shall accompany each proposal as security for acceptance of the Contract by the lowest qualified bidder. Should the Contractor fail to enter into a Contract agreement with the Owner, through no fault of the Owner, he shall forfeit the entire amount of the security to the Owner. The Township of Grosse Ile does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The Township of Grosse Ile reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive any irregularity in any proposal, and make an award of Contract in any manner deemed in its best interest. Proposals submitted after the exact time specified for receipt shall not be considered.ENGINEER shall transmit to all such Bidders of record such addenda as ENGINEER considers necessary to provide clarification, in response to questions arising therein, or arising subsequent. Oral statements shall not be relied upon and shall not be considered as legally effective or binding. All inquiries shall be directed to C.E. Question Deadline 09/04/2023 The Work is generally described as follows: SECTION I o Remove the existing 5 Ton HVAC Unit No. 1, Trane Co. Model No. YCD060C3LCBF and replace in kind with a new high efficiency HVAC unit. o Remove the existing 20 Ton HVAC Unit No. 2, Trane Co. Model No. YCD240B3LAFB and replace in kind with a new high efficiency HVAC unit. o Remove the existing 6.25 Ton HVAC Unit No. 3, Trane Co. Model No. YCD075C3LCBE and replace in kind with a new high efficiency HVAC unit. o Remove the existing 10 Ton HVAC Unit No. 6, Trane Co. Model No. YCD120C3LCAC and replace in kind with a new high efficiency HVAC unit. o Remove the existing 7.5 Ton HVAC Unit No. 8, Trane Co. Model No. YCD090D3LCBE and replace in kind with a new high efficiency HVAC unit. o Remove the existing 4 Ton HVAC Unit No. 9 and replace in kind with a new high efficiency, HVAC unit (model no. to be field verified). o Remove the existing 10 Ton HVAC Unit No. 10 and replace in kind with a new high efficiency, HVAC unit (model no. to be field verified). o Remove the existing 10 Ton HVAC Unit No. 11, Trane Co. Model No. YCD090D3LCBE and replace in kind with a new high efficiency HVAC unit. o (Below bullet points are for each of the HVAC Unit items.) o Secure all existing connected energy sources per OSHA protocols and standards o Recover and properly dispose of refrigerant per EPA guidelines o Disconnect existing natural gas supply piping o Disconnect existing electrical power and control wiring o Disconnect, remove, and properly dispose of existing electrical disconnect o Disconnect, remove, and properly dispose of existing open Roof as necessary, remove and properly dispose of existing units roof curb o Includes crane, rigging, and trucking for removal and disposal of existing units. o Equipment, scrap, and waste disposal in strict accordance with EPA guidelines o Set new roof curb and attach to existing supply and return duct systems o Includes removal and replacement of ceiling tile and grid as may be necessary below units o Includes duct modifications as may be necessary to connect existing supply and return duct systems to new replacement roof curb o Includes roofing and flashing of new roof curb by professional roofing firm o Includes crane, rigging, and trucking for delivery and setting of new equipment o Includes gas piping labor and materials to connect existing natural gas supply piping to new replacement units o Code compliant smoke detector with remote annunciator o Unsecure connected energy sources and make ready for startup o Includes all labor and materials to provide a completed project per scope o Includes startup by trained, qualified personnel including performance verification and warranty validation o Remove the existing small Lennox condensing 1.5 Ton roof top unit and replace in kind with a new high efficiency unit. o Remove the existing AV Room's Ceiling Cassette, 1.5 Ton, cooling only with drop ceiling allowance and copper line set to be replaced with white UV coating, and replace in kind with a new high efficiency model. o Provide a curb adapter with economizer, smoke detector in return air, and fire alarm system, for HVAC Units #1, #2, #3, #6, #9, and #10. o Remove existing electrical wires and conduits and replace with new electrical wires and conduits per the latest Township, Wayne County, and State codes and regulations. o Furnish and install electrical connections including new ground-in conduit from panel to HVAC units and grounding rods (not originally installed on existing units) per the latest Township, Wayne County, and State codes and regulations o Furnish and install one (1) new replacement electrical disconnect switch o Includes electrical, labor, and materials to connect existing electrical power supply and grounding to new replacement units o Includes one (1) new 120 Volt convenience outlet All labor, material, equipment, etc., whether specifically mentioned r implied for a complete installation ready for use by the owner. o Obtain Electrical and Mechanical Permits from the Township. (Inspection Fees will be reimbursed at Cost). Requests for clarification of the bid documents shall be forwarded to CERCO in writing, (letter, fax or e-mail) for review and response. The deadline for any requests for clarification in this regard is September 11, 2023. Contractor shall be responsible for visiting the project work site, and familiarizing herself/himself with the proposed work and specifications. Should the Contractor have any questions regarding the work, she/he shall obtain clarification, prior to submittal of his bid.
