Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Olympia, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.
Bids Received: Hammersley Contracting $328,198.34 Five Rivers Construction $404,198.42 This is being bid through a Small Words Roster. If a contractor is not on that list, Owner is legally required to not consider their bid. This contract covers replacing the pedestrian bridge over Woodland Creek in the south-central part of Woodland Creek Community Park. The work includes removing the existing bridge and bollards, building two abutments with wingwalls, assembling and installing a prefabricated bridge, stabilizing upstream banks, regrading and repaving at the bridge ends, relocating junction boxes, constructing new bollards, and other work above and around the ordinary high-water marks. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check for five percent of the amount of the proposal made payable to the City Treasurer, or an approved bid bond for five percent of the amount of the proposal executed on the approved form attached to these specifications. If bid bond is used, the five percent may be shown in dollars and cents or the form may be filled in by inserting therein, in lieu thereof, "five percent of the amount of the accompanying proposal". Check of unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately upon award of contract. Bidders shall examine contract and bid documents and the site and shall satisfy themselves as to conditions that exist. Each Bidder shall complete the proposal with prices in figures with the extension properly computed. After 0.3 miles, turn right-Woodland Creek Community Park will be on your right. For southbound I-5, take Exit 109 for Martin Way, turn right onto Martin Way, and then left onto Martin Way East. After 1.1 miles, turn right onto Carpenter Road SE (Shell station on the corner). Continue for 0.9 miles, then turn left onto Pacific Avenue SE. After 0.3 miles, turn right-Woodland Creek Community Park will be on your right. The range for this project is $245,000 to $300,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
