This contract covers replacing the pedestrian bridge over Woodland Creek in the south-central part of Woodland Creek Community Park. The work includes removing the existing bridge and bollards, building two abutments with wingwalls, assembling and installing a prefabricated bridge, stabilizing upstream banks, regrading and repaving at the bridge ends, relocating junction boxes, constructing new bollards, and other work above and around the ordinary high-water marks. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check for five percent of the amount of the proposal made payable to the City Treasurer, or an approved bid bond for five percent of the amount of the proposal executed on the approved form attached to these specifications. If bid bond is used, the five percent may be shown in dollars and cents or the form may be filled in by inserting therein, in lieu thereof, "five percent of the amount of the accompanying proposal".
