Site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.

This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to perform construction of approximately 3 miles of 4-lane concrete roadway on new alignment, the construction of a new Interchange at SR0043 and SR 2043 (Camp Hollow Road), realignment and roundabout construction on SR 2043 (Camp Hollow Road), and improvements to the SR 2040 (Lebanon Church Road) and SR 2043 (Camp Hollow Road) intersection. The contract will include construction of dual multi span steel girder bridges MF-406/MF-407 and MF-408/MF-409 and the construction of a two-span continuous composite steel welded plate girder bridge MF-410, carrying SR 2043 (Camp Hollow Road) over Pennsylvania Turnpike SR 0043. The contract will also include signal modifications at the intersection of SR 2043 (Camp Hollow Road) and SR 2040 (Lebanon Church Road); installation of drainage and stormwater facilities; highway lighting; destination signing; and PA American waterline relocation. In addition, the contract provides for the reconstruction of New England Road, milling and overlay of a portion of SR 2043 (Camp Hollow Road) and improvement/modifications to Lebanon School Road, Lebanon Manor Drive, and Beverly Drive. Milepost M-54.27 is located on Pennsylvania Turnpike SR0043, approximately 2.6 miles south of Lebanon Church Road in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania and Milepost M-57.53 is located approximately 0.7 miles north of Lebanon Church Road being situated in West Mifflin, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3)low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
