A. For determining the Scope of the Work, this Section shall be used in conjunction with the Drawings and with corresponding Sections of the Technical Specifications, Conditions of the Contract, and issued Addenda. This Project is being bid as a single bid package. B. Under this bid package, Contractor shall provide the necessary trades, for which bids are asked including, but not necessarily limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the construction of the Rock County Department of Public Works - Pavement Restoration to be located at 3715 N. Newville Rd in Janesville, WI 53545. Base Bid will include sawcut and removal of existing 5,892 sf of pavement and replaced with new 5,230 sf of concrete pavement and 662 of bituminous pavement in various areas around the perimeter of the building as designated on the plans. All existing pavement removal shall not encroach into the existing aggregate base. Existing aggregate base shall remain undisturbed during construction. All new pavement should match and tie into existing grade. To assure proper coordination and completion, the Contractor shall collaborate with all trades and material suppliers. The Contractor shall generate a single submittal log and single construction schedule. The Project site is located at Rock County Public Works Facility, 3715 N. Newville Rd in Janesville, WI 53545, (see location map on the Drawings). Bidders should visit the Project site and acquaint themselves with all existing conditions. Bidders shall thoroughly photograph any extenuating conditions as a matter of record. All questions concerning this Invitation to Bid shall be submitted in writing to Sarah Smith, Purchasing Manager. Questions must be received by 12:00 noon (local time), September 13, 2023. Pavement Restoration Rock County Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any or All Quotes. To Waive Any Technicality or Error in Any Bid or Part Therein, and to Accept the Same or Combinations, in Whole or in Part, Whichever is Deemed to Be in the Best Interest of Rock County.
